UV ink is a solvent free, fast drying speed, good luster, bright color, water resistance, solvent resistance, wear resistance ink.  At present UV ink has become a more mature ink technology, its pollutant emission is almost zero.  According to statistics, the annual output of UV ink is about 16,000 tons in Japan, about 18,000 tons in Europe and about 19,000 tons in North America.  It should be noted that the water-based UV ink is a new direction in the field of UV ink research.  Because ordinary prepolymer in the UV ink viscosity is very big, generally need to join the reactive diluent agent to dilution, but the use of diluent acrylate compound currently with different degrees of skin irritation and toxicity, so during the development of low viscosity of prepolymer and low toxicity diluent ,at the same time, another development direction is the study of water-borne UV ink, with water and ethanol as diluent,  At present, water-based UV ink has been successfully developed and applied in some printing enterprises.
